Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University Named a 2007 Ektron All Star Web site Chosen as Best Higher Education Site

all-star-logoChicago, IL – November 1, 2007 – The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University today announced that it is a 2007 Ektron All Star Award Winner.  The organization’s Web site, http://news.medill.northwestern.edu has been recognized as the Best Higher Education Ektron Web site in 2007.  The site represents an innovative and effective implementation of CMS400.NET, Ektron’s all-in-one application for creating, deploying and managing interactive Web, intranet and extranet sites.

“Ektron’s All-Stars have built highly successful sites that combine clear design and navigation with compelling content and forward-thinking strategies,” said Bill Rogers, founder and chief executive officer of Ektron.  “The Medill School of Journalism has demonstrated excellence in developing a site which has become a ‘virtual newsroom’ for student journalists to manage content, add photos and upload video files to their Web site.”

Each year All Star participants submit information detailing how Ektron’s Web content management software has impacted their organizations.  Criteria includes how the Ektron-powered Web sites meet business and technical goals, advance online strategies, better satisfy site visitors, produce tangible return on investment and support effective business processes.  Development of this interactive Web presence was a combined effort of Medill School of Journalism developers with assistance from WebSolutions Technology, Inc., an Ektron Platinum Certified Development and Hosting Partner.  For more information, please visit www.ektron.com/allstar.
